I have MS SQL server installed and running on my machine. I have seen many examples on Oracle that have their sample programs connect from your computer to their database over the internet.Their database has a stable URL. I am very new to Netbeans and PHP / HTML development - I am trying to teach myself. One of the first things to do is to verify that you are giving your database processing program the correct URL. ![]() I get the error: Exception in thread 'main' : Microsoft. Make sure that TCP connections to the port are not blocked by a firewall.'. I am not sure that I understand what you are trying to do. Im trying to connect my Java program to my database in NetBeans. Make sure that an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the port. ![]()
